An Act of Kindness

Could you show me an act of kindness, please? No, not for me!

I had trouble sleeping, thinking about how I am often to busy with life’s encumbrances, to pay much attention to what is going on around me. Shame on you, Ralphie! It is for this reason that I’ve thought up a little game. You can join me if you like, but you’ll have to play with and against yourself.

Let’s try to show someone an act of kindness every day this week. We do not have to limit ourselves to immediate family, friends, colleagues or acquaintances. Let’s go completely mad and show a perfect stranger an act of kindness! I am not talking about money here. Although it might cost you, to display a bit more patience or to give someone the gift of a smile

or even a pat on the back. Anything you can think of is alright. And if it’s not appreciated, you can blame me for it!

Only don’t talk  or write about the acts themselves, keep them to yourself. Why would I want to do this? For its own sake and without any ulterior motive. Then at the end of the week, I am going to make the balance of how it made me feel. But then again, who’s keeping score? Are you game?
