Today i feel the need to send this out…this i have sent over and over to my much loved soul friend, with her cancer, i want to tell you the news of this ..Not… serious ..just gone… to an operation to remove her gallbladder , and slight lingering complications, these prayers , etc do work…
it is not the method, it is the faith in whatever you believe..
Namaste

To send karmic thanks and blessings to someone as well as healing…

Either think of the person you are sending to, or while looking at a picture of them.

Recite the following incantation as many times as you feel necessary:

With love and gratitude I send to you,
Thanks for everything you do.
You’re there for me in times of need,
Your deeds are pure and free from greed.
I thank you dearly for all your care
such devotion is really rare.
I wish you happiness, I wish you love,
May you be blessed by those above.
May karma find its way to you,
And repay you for the things you do.
For this is what I wish today
that all good things shall come your way!
May this not be reversed,
Or placed upon us as any curse.
With harm to none,
It will be done!

The Sacred Seven Prayers.

From Gypsy Spirit Wind:

O Great Spirit, who art before all else and who dwells in every object, in every person and in every place, we cry unto Thee. We summon… Thee from the far places into our present awareness.

O Great Spirit of the North, who gives wings to the waters of the air and rolls the thick snowstorm before Thee, Who covers the Earth with a sparkling crystal carpet above whose deep tranquillity every sound is beautiful. Temper us with strength to withstand the biting blizzards, yet make us thankful for the beauty which follows and lies deep over the warm Earth in its wake.

O Great Spirit of the East, the land of the rising Sun, Who holds in Your right hand the years of our lives and in Your left the opportunities of each day. Brace us that we may not neglect our gifts nor lose in laziness the hopes of each day and the hopes of each year.

O Great Spirit of the South, whose warm breath of compassion melts the ice that gathers round our hearts, whose fragrance speaks of distant springs and summer days, dissolve our fears, melt our hatreds, kindle our love into flames of true and living realities. Teach us that he who is truly strong is also kind, he who is wise tempers justice with mercy, he who is truly brave matches courage with compassion.

O Great Spirit of the West, the land of the setting Sun, with Your soaring mountains and free, wide rolling prairies, bless us with knowledge of the peace which follows purity of striving and the freedom which follows like a flowing robe in the winds of a well-disciplined life. Teach us that the end is better than the beginning and that the setting sun glorifies not in vain.

O Great Spirit of the heavens, in the day’s infinite blue and amid the countless stars of the night season, remind us that you are vast, that you are beautiful and majestic beyond all of our knowing or telling, but also that you are no further from us than the tilting upwards of our heads and the raising of our eyes.

O Great Spirit of Mother Earth beneath our feet, Master of metals, Germinator of seeds and the Storer of the Earth’s unreckoned resources, help us to give thanks unceasingly for Your present bounty.

O Great Spirit of our souls, burning in our heart’s yearning and in our innermost aspirations, speak to us now and always so that we may be aware of the greatness and goodness of Your gift of life and be worthy of this priceless privilege of living.

install-power-button

// For the last few months I have been habitually drawing a thin circle on the top of my left hand. The idea was that every time I noticed this circle, I would be reminded/compelled to return to a present, zen state. This worked so well that I decided to have it tattooed on a few nights ago.

I’ve since discovered the immense potential (and fun) of attributing specific ‘powers’ to parts of your body or objects. Read on to understand what I’m talking about!

Placebo is Powerful

Thanks to the power of belief, you can can turn anything into a power-up button of any kind. The trick is to associate the change you wish to feel with the action. Over and over and over. It might feel forced at first, but the feel will become more natural as the association grows stronger. Remember: the power is in your mind.

Embrace the Moon!

From Gypsy Spirit Wind:

“The moon is a loyal companion.
It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human.
Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.”

Embrace Your Inner Child.

From Rayven Parker:

What you feel coming to you has no words, no shape or form. It’s the freedom of your own soul that you don’t know how to integrate yet as it is new to you. Don’t worry about your ego self. See the helpless child behind it that is trying to handle a situation that is beyond its ability. Do a meditation in which you embrace this child and let it know that it is loved but no longer has to do the job as the real power is home now. Then either integrate it in your heart or give it to the angels, >>>

Spring Equinox

The Equinox is coming.  The year is turning over – light replacing dark.  This is a time of change – unsettling – stirring.  I have mixed feelings about it – equal longings for the dark days of winter and the bright days of summer – an internal conflict.  It will pass as the year moves forward.

I look at the predicted sunrise and sunset times for next week.  All of the tables and charts state that Sunday is the day when the sun sets nearest to twelve hours after it rises.  All of them say that the Equinox will be on Wednesday.  As usual “science” makes no sense at all to me.  I decide that I will follow my own heart and celebrate on Sunday.

I will make my obeisance to the sun at dawn as it rises over the sea to the East.  Later I will take the seeds from the corn dollies that I made at Lammas and sow them in the hope that I will be able to continue this cycle in the future.  The wheat that I used to make the dollies, was an unforeseen gift resulting from an offering made to the Goddess and the birds last year.  I will also sow other seeds for our small garden on this day – herbs, vegetables and flowers.

I have invited a few dearly loved family members to a meal to celebrate the equinox.  I will make seed breads,  dukka,  a salad with the few fresh herbs emerging -  chive tips, fennel,  some mint which I have brought on in the kitchen.  Chocolate eggs and rabbits  (the latter to represent my favourite animal the Hare,  renowned for her exuberance at this time of year).  If we are very lucky it will be fine enough to light a fire and eat outside.

Already I feel stirrings of joyful anticipation.  Blessed Be.

The Reality of Magic.

We are all living a lie. The truth of the matter is upside down. What we have been led to believe is the truth is a blatant lie. It is time to expose the reality of magic. You may think that I am joking. If at the end of this article you still think so, so be it, but I am  in earnest. I shall give you a couple of examples and leave it up to you to decide what is what.

Every different kind of psychology will tell you that at the core of every human being there is a diamond that has been corrupted and smudged, if not completely hidden, by the limitations forced upon us by our society. When a child is very young, it sees every aspect of life as a miracle, but after it has been indoctrinated to disbelieve the wonder of its own eyes, the glamour fades into insignificance. Which is a crying shame, for that glamour, that way of looking at this wonderful world of ours is actually the whole truth of it.

Let us take an instance which most of us can relate to, i.e. the fact of falling in love. When you fall in love, you see that special person in his or her totality. Not the mere physical aspect, but to the core, including the soul and the spirit. You see the true potential of him or her.  Afterwards, through routine, etcetera you ´think´that this was just a dream, but actually the opposite is true. It is merely you that have fallen out of sync with the reality of that person. All you have to do to go back to that state of perception is to fall in love with them all over again.

Let us try a different example that is not interrelational. Look at a sunset. We all know the specifics of the matter. Earth turns around the Sun and so on and so forth, but if we are in sync with nature, we can experience the true miracle of each sunrise in all of its splendour. If however we are feeling out of sorts and no longer in sync, we just see a yellow blob in the sky, which is a pity.

I shall now take one of my favourite examples, which is that of a tree. When one looks at a tree, one can see many things. One might see just a lump of wood or one might see a living magical being that transforms carbide monoxide into oxygen and allows us to breathe. We could see the tree in all its magnificence and imagine the roots which are as extended as that which we see above ground.

But this is not all, our brain has been wired in such a fashion that we can only see matter in its limited form. We do not see the atoms and the swirling electrons that surround it, making the tree into a virtual universe in itself. The fact of the ´matter´is that everything which exists is alive on a higher or lower frequency in that everything is pure energy, but our brain does not allow us to see it.

I shall leave you with the notice that we can all of us truly shine and we can all of us truly notice the others shining, if we only get rid of our blinkers and shackles, forced upon us by those who would have us live a lie. More to follow.

024Welcome Spring!

Spring will officially arrive March 20, 2013 around 7:00 a.m. here, on that day there will be equal light and darkness. I think this is something to celebrate!

An Indian legend.

When a human dies, there is a bridge,
they must cross to enter into heaven.
At the head of the bridge waits every animal
that human encountered during their lifetime. …
The animals, based on what they know of this person,
decide, which humans may cross the bridge….
and which are turned away.

Cosmic dust of the Andromeda Galaxy as reveale...

Cosmic dust of the Andromeda Galaxy as revealed in infrared light by the Spitzer Space Telescope. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

1. Time is a riddle:

About a year ago I asked myself the question: what is time? I told myself that the answer to this riddle is the key to innumerable mysteries. My subconscious has been working on this enigma ever since and I have finally seen a light at the end of the tunnel. I have come to some conclusions that befuddle me even more.

2. I am legion:

Some time ago I wrote: I am not, I never was and I will be… forever changing. I am a million persons to a million different people and more. I am a galaxy of swirling neurons, etc. in my own right. I am a purely subjective and changing perception of myself to myself. I am less than a speck of dust in relation to the enormity of the universe.

3. Relativity:

No thing is nothing and everything exists in relation to everything else. The abstract notion of 3 in a universe of 10 is not the same as 3 in a universe of 11. 3 changes all the while in relationship to an endless universe of numbers. I am a part of Andromeda, in the sense that I am an ever-changing energy being that is in physical contact with the universe, which includes Andromeda, which is also ever-changing, as is everything in between.

4. The times they are a-changing:

Everything, everywhere that was in the past is gone and will never return. It is forever being replaced by an ever-changing future. When we see a mountain, then the range that was there a hundred thousand years ago is gone forever through erosion and so forth, but so it is with everything. When we see a chair, the chair that was there a minute ago is gone to be replaced by an older chair in a newer future. This chair is also slowly decaying and undergoing any number of forces, such as gravity, magnetism, etcetera.

The present tense as we know it, the now, makes no sense either, because there is no point in time that can be caught or frozen, except in our inaccurate memories or fantasy. The only reality is change. We, and everyone and everything in the universe, are defined by our relationship to everyone and everything else in the universe, which is constantly changing. When we say that we live in the now, we are merely conscious of the changing nature of all things and are sharing in it.

5. Labels are lies:

A line is not a line, for it is a collection of dots between point A and point B that can NEVER be taken out of context of the whole and as the whole is ever-changing, the line changes with it. Remember that the places where point A and B are located in the universe are forever moving with that shifting universe. On Earth, they would move through rotation of the planet, which circles around the Sun, etcetera. And it goes even further than that. If you assume that the universe is expanding, then both points would be forever expanding with it.

Labels are an attempt to force order on the universe or to freeze-frame it and does not work. It’s like naming one grain of sand on the coast of the continent of Africa. Remember the parable about the pond forever changing with the pebble that was thrown into it? It goes further than that! The pond is a lie, a mental construct that exists only in our minds. In reality the pond is a cosmos in itself, full of living organisms and eroding walls, taking on more moisture or evaporating it all the while.

6. Jehovah:

The proper name of God in Hebrew translates into ‘I will be’ or in other words: ‘I, the whole of the universe, am forever changing’! I, the author, doubt everything but change. I have only questions and only one measly answer, which may be untrue aswell. Blessed be.

Meditation is not easy.

Meditation

Meditation (Photo credit: atsukosmith)

From High Existence dot Com :

Many people read about the benefits of meditating for 20 minutes each day and try to do just that, resulting in discouraging failure.

Meditating for 20 minutes the first time is like trying to bench 450lb on your first day at the gym. Or attempting a black diamond course your first day on skis.

It’s going to end in frustration and boredom, and will likely taint meditation for a long time. Meditation then feels like a difficult chore as opposed to something natural, centering and pleasurable.

Instead, shoot for just 30 seconds. Once you can go the whole time without your mind wandering, double the duration. Repeat.

When your mind does wander, don’t be down on yourself! Simply accept it and center your thoughts once more. Becoming frustrated about this will only set you back further.

You’ll work your way to 20 minutes in no time.

White Witches Unite!

From witchofforestgrove.com

Tree of light – From witchofforestgrove.com

During my excursions on the internet I have stumbled onto many lone witches, who practice their magic in the privacy of their own homes. Simple or not so simple people, who feel a connection to Mother Earth and as their prime directive have: Love all beings, period!

Apart from this, they can be of any additional belief system, any race and in any geographical location. However, they all have in common that they are not interested in making money with what they know, nor do they seek fame or recognition. Some do not call themselves witches, either because they do not realise how blessed they are or because they want to avoid a stigma that still surrounds the label.

In the sense mentioned above, I guess I can call myself a witch, although not an accomplished one. I do however believe that love is the most important thing there is and that it is a living, breathing force. The source or the well of it, wherever it may stem from, is inexhaustible and if you choose to let it flow, it grows and grows, in you and in others! The ripple-effect is the cause of this phenomenon.

I’ve been wondering whether we could form a very informal coven of sorts, to span the globe and in this way form a grid of love to counterbalance the negative influences of all the aggression, greed and other unsavoury energies that thrive everywhere!? This need not be a big thing, but a simple coördination of our lone efforts along a predetermined time frame. Please give me your constructive thoughts on the matter, whoever you are and wherever you’re from.

My Gran is definitely not a man,
but the most feminine of women,
a personification of the Mother,
a breathing testament to love.

A selfless love for all living things,
whether teeny-tiny or quite large.

The champion of the underdog
and companion to an ubercat,
the tenderest of merry witches,
complete with hat and broom.

Bound to her handsome groom
by a love that conquers all.

Today it be thirty-one winters,
let us pray for that many more!
A shining beacon of bonded trust
for the rest of us to only dream of.

All hail to the witch of West-Virginia
and her fine specimen of a man!

Catechized by disgrace into your rose-red trances
Liars with kiss swollen lips can tell no truths
Flickering heartbeats, pirouetting prettily on trembling limbs
Enduring the feast is what matters most.
My cat is a voracious romantic.

Hold a golden candle’s light
Now close your eyes in silent prayer

Do no harm, and feel no doubt
That never will you live without
By earth, by air, by water, fire and spirit
Be open to love and do not fear it!

Pallid darkness retreats slowly

unstoppable, unblinking, revealing.

Stealing back what was lost

the budding life that lay dormant.

Shouting: “Stop, till here and no further!
